Research, is basically derived from the Greek word “recherché” which means to search for the truth. So, educational research is the research carried out in the field of education and is based on truth and facts and figures.

Educational research is very important to bring sufficient changes in other fields on the basis of its results. Research is also important, because it helps in finding new concepts, which were neglected earlier or were not considered important.

Educational research is also helpful in solution of many educational problems. While conducting research, the common educational problems faced by students and teachers can be brought in to front and the root causes for these problems can be highlighted and then solutions can be suggested accordingly. Research, if carried out by teachers or researchers, make their knowledge more authentic and objective and if it is carried out by students it helps them to excel in their academic career and help them to make new discoveries and innovations with it.

So, educational research is of great importance with respect to every field.
